- Abstract
- This data is the creation of a map showing areas that are suitable for the predominantly subtidal seagrass species Zostera marina and is needed to provide advice on where Natural Resources Wales would potentially support restoration or creation projects for Zostera marina.This map includes a combination of mapped areas of Zostera marina, habitat suitability model outputs and locations of suitable mapped habitat along the coast where the modelled outputs are absent. The data includes outputs from the JNCC Zostera marina habitat suitability model (Castle et al., 2022), Bertelli, C. Zostera habitat suitability (Bertelli et al., 2022), extracted data from JNCC's UKASH and NRW's section 7/OSPAR data. The data is in vector format and should be viewed using the two lyr files: Zostera marina habitat suitability JNCC model values.lyr and Zostera marina habitat suitability map source.lyr.
